The standard length of the swelling cork – 40 mm. It is possible to manufacture cork according to the individual order of the client.
The task of the material: solving the issue of waterproofing the junctions (seams) of various elements of buildings and structures, where it is necessary to exclude the possibility of moisture penetrating from the outside or from the inside of the building (foundations, pools, introductory communications of buildings, water and treatment facilities etc.).
Purpose of this product – sealing "cold" (working) seams of concrete structures, introductory communications, technological openings, etc., which are exposed to water from the outside or from the inside.
Main consumers: construction organizations operating in the above industries.
The profile provides sealing of the seams by sealing them by increasing their own volume (swelling) in contact with water. The profile is installed at the locations of the seams at the construction stage and "monolithized"; into concrete. When water enters the joint cavity at the stage of operation of the structure, the profile increases in volume and blocks the path of water passage. The product is easy to install, does not require special skills and specialized equipment to work with it.
Significant distinguishing features from analogues
After the water supply stops, the profile returns to its original form without any loss of its properties. The moisture-swellable profile is capable of withstanding multiple expansion/contraction cycles. To date, our sample has already withstood 20 cycles. Sample testing will continue continuously to obtain more and more information. The test process is immersion in water until complete swelling, after which the sample dries in the open air. Tests in concrete, today, are extremely inconvenient due to the fact that the process of swelling and, moreover, drying will take an enormous amount of time and will drag on for many years.
